"Posing as a war-hater, Raimondo defends murderous dictators like Milosevic, who unleashed the only wars in Europe over the past half century."
Well... in that one instance, Raimondo might have a point. The Christian Serbs were trying to defend their homes in Kosovo from a wave of violent Islamo-facist immigrants with ties to terrorist organizations. We went in there like a bull in a China shop [blowing up the Chinese embassy, BTW], deliberately targetting civilians [Hey, but they were just Christians anyway. Few Islamics were killed, so who cares?]and giving the Islamo-facists a free hand to burn churches, kill men, gang rape their widows, loot and burn the raped widows' homes, and help out al qaeda.
Milosovic was fighting his own war on terror, and was as misunderstood the same way the Russians were misunderstood when fighting the Islamo-facist Chechan terrorists.
I tell you, Clinton knew how to fight a war. It was straight from the script, "Wag the Dog". Albania is a stone's throw away from Kosovo. And the war was more to distract than to actually stand up for justice.
Milosevic was fighting a war to keep himself in power in Belgrade and to distract Serbs from how much his family was stealing in Serbia. In the end, he ran out of former Yugo republics to mess with and he couldn't hide how badly he'd run the Serbian economy. If Dubya had been President, Milosevic would have been slapped down before he tore apart Croatia and Bosnia. But Dubya's dad was a "realist" and Clinton had no foreign policy beyond looking good for his reelection. So Milosevic got a free pass to mess things up for nearly a decade.
