Condoleezza Rice may or may not run for president in '08, but she's already got the hang of it. The secretary of state wowed 'em in Europe, even in Paris, where some of the old geezers leaning on their canes and sipping absinthe on the Champs Elysee thought she was Josephine Baker (without the bananas), demonstrating what we already knew over here: Condi is as good as she looks. Now she's off to Asia, and she stopped at The Washington Times for coffee, Danish and conversation about the hard cheeses inevitably served up to secretaries of state. Click to learn more... When we asked her about her harsh characterization of the harsh regime in North Korea ("an outpost of tyranny"), the sort of plain speech that usually

You well deserved the accolade, dear friend and I don't give out many, nor often.

Quite a brilliant post...and that's more often than not, sadly a rarity on FR nowadays.

Are you interested in Absinthe? I've read two rather good ones and will give the titles and authors,if you want then. :-)

Agreed

I don't know how to post pictures, but may I suggest (as is done with Michelle Malkin and Ann Coulter) that on Condi threads these two pictures be posted? They speak of her well.

Had you seen those two pictures before?

I love both of them, the one at the piano is elegant, and the one with the troops looking adoringly as she walks by them is great.

You are the man! Remember the Washington Post talking about that look of Condi's wearing the black and the boots? LOL.

****

Washington Post -2/25/05 -- "Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice arrived at the Wiesbaden Army Airfield on Wednesday dressed all in black. She was wearing a black skirt that hit just above the knee, and it was topped with a black coat that fell to mid-calf. The coat, with its seven gold buttons running down the front and its band collar, called to mind a Marine's dress uniform or the "save humanity" ensemble worn by Keanu Reeves in "The Matrix."

That quote left out mention of Condi's take-your-breath-away black stileto boots!

If someone confused me with La Baker, I'd take that as a big time compliment. At the height of her career, she was the richest woman in the world. Moving to France proved to be very wise for her.

LOL! Here is another account of her attire by bongonews:

***

WEISBADEN, Germany — US Secretary of State, Condoleeza Rice, relishing the power of her new role, inspected German troops at Wiesbaden, Germany, last week dressed as the dominatrix she has become on US foreign policy.

Clothed all in black, she caused both fear and sexual excitement in her long, sleek, military-style coat with band collar and gold buttons, sexy short skirt, and knee-high leather boots with three-inch stiletto heels.

***

She looked GREAT!!!
