I think a lot of you people are missing the point. She was brave. No doubt about it. But she sounds like she tooting her own horn. The man is a murderer, not someone to be looked upon as favorably as she does.
She has more sympathy for the murderer and the murdered. That's twisted logic.

And you know she has more sympathy for the murderer how? Did she say that? Or are you perhaps reading too much into what she said...

I agree with you. I just turned on the tv and saw her a little while ago, and I wanted to hurl. She's been through an ordeal, so I don't blame her or anything, but I won't pretend her misplaced feelings for the killer weren't sickening.

You don't know what you're taking about. She isn't "tooting" her own horn. She's telling the story. And she has said NOTHING to indicate she has more sympathy for him than the victims.

She was brave. No doubt about it. But she sounds like she tooting her own horn. She does not sound even remotely like that.
I think youre perception meter needs adjusting.

I hope to be as brave as she was and to keep my wits about me as she did.
Of course she saw his human side, it is the side that did not kill her. I can only imagine the emotional roller coaster for her that evening. And maybe, just maybe she saw what could have been with him..I don't know. But I will not question her. After what she went through, she is entitled to her opinion.
