Long Island(NY) has a local amnesty-for-illegals activist named Rev. Allan Ramirez. He's been incredulous of any report indicating a gang infestation of the local Latino community. When asked by Newsday what he thought of the roundup, he replied " 'I hope this crackdown includes all undocumented people,' and does not target only Hispanics, as he said some previous sweeps have done."(Newsday 3/14/05 pg A-6) Sounds like someone had to eat quite a bit of crow.

"In the Los Angeles area, there are said to be at least 10,000 MS13 members with 95 percent of the homicide arrest warrants against them still outstanding. In Northern Virginia there are 3,500 MS13 members reported by the police, with a concentration of 1,500 in Fairfax County alone. Research for this report has established significantly large MS13 gang concentrations in 15 states and some Canadian cities."
