Exactly. I once did some mission work in a third world country. They lined up for hours to get some ibuprofen.

Having said that, I admit that if we exercized and ate right and kept our weight down and got lots of sleep and had lower divorce rates and watched less TV and spent less time on the computer, we probably wouldn't need to take quite so many medications.

Personally....I changed my eating habits totally a few yrs ago....no sugar, booze, processed food etc. I'm 5'4" 114lbs. now and feel great...I only take vitamins and several supplements...it's actually life changing. Drugs have sooo many side effects...they're a killer. Living without a quality of life is not worth living.

Actually the KEY to HEALTH is WHAT FOOD you put into your body.

Spent less time on the computer? This is heresey and you should be burned at the stake or at least taken to task for such a statement!

That said, we do lose patients that die because of infections contracted in hospitals but we save a lot more than we ever lose. Hospitals need to clean up their act a little because infections are growing and antibiotics becoming less effective , but we are a great nation and our health care facilities are wonderful.

I have had my life saved at least once by hospital care and I don't think I would have wanted to stay home and chant and burn incense to try to cure myself!
