Prayer request. My brother Orvil L Robinson has died.
March 13, 2005 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 03/13/2005 2:41:13 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Received word this morning that my brother, Orvil L. Robinson, of San Antonio, Texas died yesterday afternoon after fighting a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jane (Hodges) Robinson, two children, Cheryl Moran of San Antonio and Jeff Robinson of California, and several grandchildren. He was retired from the U.S. Weather Bureau. He was a US Navy veteran. Served as a meteorologist aboard the aircraft carrier USS Kearsarge in the '50s. He was a good and decent, loving man who will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

It is good of you to share that experience of getting to see your brother last summer. And what a hoot that he learned about Rathergate from reading Time Magazine in the waiting room.

Prayers offered for Orville and his family (Jane, Cheryl, Jeff and grandchildren) through this time of sorrow. May God bestow His blessings upon you, Jim, for being a loving and caring brother, which is something sacred and precious in and of itself.

Jim, I'm so sorry for your loss, but so glad your dear brother is no longer suffering. The happy part is the fact you will see him again. My great-uncle, right before his death, asked my uncle to cut down that big oak tree growing in his room. My uncle, thinking he was playing along, asked him why. My great-uncle said, "Because I can't get to [his wife who died before him] for that tree. I see her waving." He named some others who had gone before him that he could see waving, too. Then he got a big smile on his face, said something about it was about time they cut down that tree, and he breathed his last breath. I know he's with them, and happy. I say this because we all have to have Him cut down that "old oak tree" for us, and we'll see our loved ones again. Hugs...
