You don't even see the meaning of that, do you? That Islamic leaders are denouncing the lind of Islam that we all are opposed to denies your contention that Islam is "evil" or that all Muslims are somehow responsible for terrorism.
You don't hve to agree with their belief system -- I don't -- but you are being unfair if you equate all Muslims with bin Laden and his crowd, and that is what you are doing. That paints a false picture and diverts our attentionfrom the militants, who are the real enemy, to the woman down the street in the prayer shawl. They're not the same thing.

You didn't ask me, but its a free republic. The question is silly and specious, since no one has suggested such a thing. Besides, who would be dumb enough to implement such a PR nightmare? And it doesn't answer the problem of removing muslims involved with islamic terrorism from the country. Deportation, tighter borders, better cooperation between the FBI and the CIA, better standards in the INS could have saved thousands of people a world of grief.
