CNN tanking as Fox News surges Double-digit declines reported for Larry King, Wolf Blitzer

The ratings are in for February, and the numbers are not good for CNN which saw steep losses in its viewership, while the Fox News Channel continued its rise.

According to Nielsen Media Research, CNN's ratings fell by 21 percent last month in primetime, and 16 percent overal reports Variety. Primetime big-name shows such as "Larry King Live," "Wolf Blitzer Reports," "Lou Dobbs Tonight," "Paula Zahn Now" and "Newsnight With Aaron Brown" all experienced double-digit declines.

Only "Anderson Cooper 360" had a slight increase of 2 percent.

During President Bush's State of the Union Address, CNN was soundly beaten by Fox, and even lost the key 25-54 demographic to third-place MSNBC.

In contrast, Fox News was the only news network on cable to see viewership increases in February, as it outpaced all other cable news companies combined for the sixth straight month.

Fox News is killing CNN = democracy in action. And why the hardline leftist elites hate democracy and hate information freedom. And why MSM hates FNC, the blogosphere and the American people.

Surprised about the Dobbs show - It is about the only one tackling some of the big problems today with a no holds barred approach. The rest of CNN is drivel IMO.

Keith Olberman, that smirky, swarmy creep, takes constant potshots at FOX and Bill O'Reilly. I tune in maybe once a week just to see the jerk in action. He's so jealous that's he's pathetic.

yeah, i know what you mean, but dobbs has become a blowhard, and though he often takes the right side of an issue, he's boring and unpersuasive -- and not very quick on his feet. sometimes he comes across as verbally flat-footed. he's been pressured by the ratings to become opinionated, and he's not up to the task. seems like everytime i turn him on he's rambling about border security or outsourcing. outsourcing actually works for the economy in a lot of ways and dobbs seems oblivious to the nuances behind the issue.

Last night, Fox News stayed with LIVE programming all evening about the Atlanta killer so they were live when the Honda was found in the same parking garage---

I checked both CNN and MSNBC, and they were on reruns of early evening programs---

For the life of me, I can't imagine why anyone would chose to watch and listen to Aaron Brown talk through his nose for an hour every night---

I am not a Greta fan, I ususally check on the Joe Scarborough show (which has really gone downhill, which is kinda hard to do when the hill wasn't too high to begin with), if nothing there, I go to local Fox News---

I will NOT watch CNN...

Agree about the [Dobbs] sometimes flat footed response but have never heard him in any way support outsourcing, Illegals the wacky Trade Agreements, etc. Tune in Mon. I think you'll see.

If Fox would get rid of Greta and drop the all Michael Jackson all the time they might survive. The thing propping them up is the rest of them are so bad.

"Lou Dobbs Tonight,"

You mean the Paleos favorite broadcaster experienced double digit declines?

Forget, for a moment, any political leanings. CNN vs. FNC is night and day. I'll never, ever watch CNN again. Period. When I turn on my TV/cable box, it defaults to Fox News Channel. I happen to be in the "prime demographic" for both.......and I'm not alone.

It would also be nice to think that the next generation will be FOX viewers, or another network more consistently conservative. No more boomers.
