Eight people are dead and four others injured after gunfire broke out during a church meeting this afternoon at the Sheraton Hotel in Brookfield. Police say that the suspect is among the eight dead and no other suspects are being sought.
The dead range in age from 10 years old to 72.
Per Channel 4, Milwaukee.
4 victims in surgery at Froedtert hospital Milwaukee. News conference at 3pm CST.
2 victims taken to Madison to trauma center there.

Regardless, even if this is the church, prayers up for the victims.
You are SO funny!
Prayers for all who have to deal with the ramifications of this.
Please let us know what is said?. I tried to call my son and got voice mail.
Yes, I guess that's what struck me at first. But any group can have a homicidal wig-out among them. Yes, prayers for these victims.
Heh, heh. You were there.
I only said that it was odd. And it is odd. Maybe all the nuts are just going crazy simultaneously.
Travis wrote about this scenario in his book, "Enemies Foreign and Domestic".
I would not put anything past the gun grabbers.
(That was your brain fart. )
Most of us here, I assume, are strong supporters of President Bush, and many feel he is a man of principle and very spiritual. He is a good person, who surrounds himself with good people, and who openly admits to his relationship with God. He has fought evil, and brought a lot of good to the world again. If one believes in God, as our great President does, one must also accept that there is a force of Evil, and that evil is struggling for control. Call it the devil, whatever.
When evil is threatened, it becomes heightened to fight for survival. All these crimes, in our homes, neighborhoods, schools...teachers, terrorists, political leaders, etc...all this dark "stuff" surfacing - this is evil fighting back.
Now I am not an every Sunday church goer, but I have strong beliefs and faith. I remember the lessons I was taught, and that we must always be watchful of the power of evil. It disguises itself in many ways - sometimes in the persona of national leaders, ala Clinton, who so many thought and still think is a good person, sometimes in massive movements like the campaigns to take "God" out of our country's documents, buildings, schools. Like pro-choice movements, people who favor "mercy killing," gay marriages, etc. And sometimes in lifestyles of groups like the wild lives of the Hollywood bunch who have flaunted morality in the face of believers.
These people can rationalize their positions in grandiose, intellectual ways, and sound very convincing and considerate of others' difficulties. But, in effect, their desires are to drive us away from God and our belief and faith in His laws.
We must be of this world, and at the same time, be aware of the spiritual world. Prayer is our strongest ally, and best hope at times like these, as we struggle to keep from falling under the spell of, or control of evil people. The battle is real, we must recognize it is going on.
Just to clear things up here a bit, I offer the explanation to all of us that your post seemed to imply a relationship , rather than a coincidence, between nuts gunning down groups of people and the introduction of gun bills to the legislature.
Applying logic isn't part of how a conspiracy thinker...thinks.
I wonder what underlying vice precipitated this mess?
6 adults at Froedtert Hospital, some of them brought in by Flight-for-Life, 1 patient at Children's Hospital, which is adjacent to Froedtert. Possible some victims were taken by helicopter to Madison for treatment.
Update from Hospital
6 patients at Froedtert. 2 in surgery.
1 at Children's hospital. (neighboring building)
7 total patients at Milwaukee County Medical Complex.
Unknown if patients were sent to UW hospital in Madison.
Very little information otherwise. HIPPA law is limiting the info that hospital can provide. News conference is postponed.
see how it sets it off? that was what the rest of us were looking forward to. now it's started in earnest.
The gun control freaks will be all over the news next week, Atlanta, this incident, and whatever else happens this weekend that they will use to try/cry for more gun control.
Yes, that was an interesting exchange.
