Rice pointedly declined to rule out running for president in 2008 on Friday during an hour-long interview with reporters at WASHINGTON TIMES, top sources tell DRUDGE. Rice gave her most detailed explanation of a 'mildly pro-choice' stance on abortion, she would not want the government 'forcing its views' on abortion... She explained that she is libertarian on the issue, adding: 'I have been concerned about a government role'... Developing late Friday for Saturday cycles... MORE...
I am anti-abortion. I consider abortion to be infanticide. No one should ever have the "choice" to legally comment infanticide. So, even though she is OK as Sec State. She can forget being the Republican nominee. Also, I find myself getting really ticked at President Bush setting her up to run for president.
One final zinger - even remotely suggesting she holds "libertarian" views makes her obnoxious to me. There are two groups on this forum that I just can't abide - hard core atheistic/naturalistic evolutionists and libertarians.
There goes her chance of being nominated.
Me too.
Hillary's one step closer to her goal.
Well put. She wouldn't get any votes here either, even against Hillary. We'd sit it out.
Say so long to Condi 08.
Ridiculous... do you even know what mildly pro choice means as defined by Condi Rice? Are all of you in this thread really closed minded to a black woman President?
Ahhhhhh!!!! Poor baby!!!
I am mostly pro-life and somewhat pro-choice. What about it?
My goodness, you'd throw out a reasoned intelligent candidate over one issue? If you don't want an abortion, don't have one. Teach your children it's wrong. But, pun intended, don't throw the baby out with the bathwater!
The issue is values, not race.
Are you that big of an idiot to bring up race when nobody else did?
She doesn't want to actually kill the fetus.
Just slap it around, put it in fear of it's life, that sort of thing.
Show the mass of protoplasm just who's in charge.
This is the Achilles heel of a Rice nomination - one the RAT's will have no problem hammering on while pretending to be "mildly pro-choice." Madame Rice will have to change her postition or Roe will have to be overturned to make it a moot point.
I can't believe that this is news. People who know Condi Rice have described her political points of view on other issue as "all over the board." Besides, she wants to be commissioner of the National Football League.
The deal is done.
Hillary is so in.
Sure....vote for Hillary.
That'll help.
Well-reasoned response.
>>>There are two groups on this forum that I just can't abide
I am a conservative libertarian (yes, it is possible. Unless 'conservative' means bullying others into living your lifestyle). There are groups of people I can't abide, that is people that think that others should live by their set of rules.
