Jerry Kilgore (R) leads big over Tim Kaine (D) in VA Governor's race by 10 points

Kilgore Opens Strong In VA A couple days ago I was bemoaning the lack of polls from Virginia. Today, Survey USA fills that void.
VIRGINIA GOVERNOR Kilgore (R) 46% Kaine (D) 36% Potts (I) 6%
Good to see Kilgore has a double-digit lead even when the Independent-Republican candidate is included. Looking at the demographics, it is hard to say the Potts is hurting either Kilgore or Kaine, more like he is taking votes away from both equally. This poll was done March 8-9 of 493 registered voters.

Very good to see. It's still early yet, but state races tend not to fluctuate very much....in VA anyway. I think in VA once the voters get a favorable opinion of a candidate it tends to stay that way.

Potts another one of those democrat-sponsored "Independent" stalking horses, ala Perot?

This year. VA has 'off year' state elections.

Potts another one of those democrat-sponsored "Independent" stalking horses, ala Perot? Potts makes Perot look normal.

I realize it's early and it's one poll, but 36% for the sitting LtGov can't be thrilling Mark Warner and friends.
