BWAHAHAHA...Jon Stewart's Wife (Tracey) in 'Cuffs

Real news for Stewart: Wife arrested

Jon Stewart could be forgiven if he arrived a little late to yesterday's taping of "The Daily Show." He was busy getting his wife, Tracey McShane, out of jail. The normally wisecracking comic looked understandably anxious as he waited while his handcuffed sweetheart spent close to five hours being booked for driving with a suspended license.

McShane, 36, was driving through Central Park around 11 a.m. when she was pulled over for a moving violation, police confirmed to us.

Stewart's spokesman, Matt Labov, said: "She wasn't speeding. But the police discovered that she had a suspended license. She didn't even realize it. She paid a ticket last week. But apparently her check hadn't been processed."

Following procedure, cops impounded her car, cuffed her, loaded her into a squad car and took her to Central Booking.

There, police sources said, she was fingerprinted, posed for a mug shot and held while cops checked to see if there were any outstanding warrants for the arrest of the mother of 8-month-old Nathan Stewart....(excerpt)

Just as an aside, of all the trophies the show biz types hand out to themselves, the Emmy is by far the classiest.

.....Seems a little extreme for a suspended license....

There was also these cryptic words..."She paid a ticket last week But apparently her check hadn't been processed"

This would indicate the possibility of an outstanding warrant she claims to have paid but the check didn't clear or something. It seem there is more here than the reporter gathered.

In New York it is very possible not to know your license is suspended. About ten years ago I paid a ticket but failed to notice that there was a five dollar surcharge. Since I had underpaid by five bucks my license was suspended. I received no notice of any kind and did not know I was under suspension until more than a year later when my renewal card failed to appear on schedule. So, for this, I could have been carted off to Central Booking?

The woman's picture has at least been pulled.

Rule # three - Really good comedy doesn't get pulled by the moderator.

"They've been successful? When and where? People are repulsed by them and their tactics."

You've got to be kidding. Look what they've done to Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, John Ashcroft, Clarence Thomas, Richard Nixon, Hoover, FOX News. I could go on and on.

They're still ridiculing Hoover for being a closet gay cross dresser. Accurate? no. But is smears the reputation of someone the Left didn't like. They've turned Joe McCarthy into an insult, simply through 50 years of ridicule and attacks.

Are they gettin' votes?

Liberalism is becoming marginalized, and the meaner they get the more people they repel. Unfair ridicule is always repulsive no matter who does it.

Glad the cops are going after the heavy hitters.

You don't have to worry about any rich middle age white women with unpaid tickets in NYC

Hmmm... In order: respected reigious leader, respected religious/moral leader, Senator and Attorney General, Supreme Court Justice, twice-elected President, longest serving FBI director and number 1 rated cable news network.

Yeah, liberal ridiculing has really hurt these people and institutions.

Here's a news flash for all three of ya - it was a joke you morons.

Nice try at a cover. Face it, you were being juvenile and were called on it by several people. Suck it up and quit trying the old "it was a joke" line. That is just as juvenile as the original crap.

Geez, those aren't even insulting. They're just tired and obvious.

Couldn't you find any really biting humor? Something good and meanspirited?

That is one SWEET, uptown rack. I'd handcuff her too, but in an entirely different setting.

Actually, I read it as a joke.

He Googled on the name, found somebody who obviously wasn't his wife, (hinted at that) then posted the picture anyway and made a disparaging comment about her looks.

Granted, it wasn't "Who's on First?", but it was obviously a joke centered around relying on the accuracy of a Google search to find what you are looking for.

Sounds a little excessive. If only they would arrest all the illegals driving around without ANY license, let alone suspended. But it seems they could have handled this different.

Don't jump to conclusions, this stuff does happen.... notifications of suspensions don't always get sent out or delivered properly.

Depends on the reason for the suspended license. If a license is suspended for DWI, you can do time in the state pen if you're caught driving.
