Maybe 30 years ago, now just about everything we by is from China.

Um, which is why their economy would implode. Do you think China just wishes the goods they sell us up out of thin air?

No, but you cant ignore other countries that would replace our demand. Such as the US being passed up by China as Japans biggest trading partner. Its nice to be confident it suicide to be arrogant.

Just for kicks, next time you buy something that says "Made in China" on the box, continue reading to the name and address of the manufacturer.

At the moment China is ecomonicly depentant on it's exports since it's domestic market is not yet affuent, however that is changing. Should a significant part of China 1 billion people become comsummers then China could care less about the USA or it's dollar. And the time is rapidly approaching when China domestic market will dwarf ours as will China's ecomony.

China will require vast natural resources to satisfy comsumer demand, this will put it in direct competition with the USA for resources like oil (why do you think oil is over 50/barrel) things will only get worse for the USA and better for China.
