Has anyone said what the perp was in the courthouse for?

He was on trial for rape. He had been out on bail though, not in the lockup.

Strange that he would not jump bail, and then go berserk in the courtroom.

I'm no lawyer, but if he was out on bail shouldn't his bail have been revoked when he was caught with that shank?
