This is a breaking news situation.
A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.
The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.
I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.

"...and is headed out of the city, where more ADEPT police officers and sheriff's deputies will propbably catch or kill the bastard..."
Not if he is on his way to Savannah..... Mayberry has a better police force than this place!

The tragedy of this story serves to REMIND me HOW EASY it would be for any SUICIDE BOMBER to cause havoc in our nation as they are doing now in IRAQ. There is NO SECURITY known to prevent this type of attack.
Prayers sent out to Atlanta.

A bit crazy, but the city is a madhouse over a gunman?A murderer, rapist, four time carjacker (at last count) still on the loose.

It's sad that this Judge was killed and others wounded, but perhaps other Judges out there holding Criminal Court will require the defendents to be in restraints...hand and leg irons. Usually the use of restraints within the courtroom rests on the decision of the Judge presiding.

You know if they hadn't disarmed they other people (not allowed guns) in the courtroom, someone could have gotten off a shot and got this guy before he did his damage.
wow. that's really brilliant.
(psst, could someone keep an eye on this moron for us?)
To: PISANO
It's worse than that. The guy was apparently IN CUSTODY when he came into the courtroom. They shoulda left the chains on him.

Keep in mind that this could have happened in any courthouse in any city, it's not a reflection on Atlanta. Baloney. I've lived in Atlanta. Corruption, patronage, and incompetence creates risks that can extract a high price.
A local lawyer was on WSB about ten minutes ago blasting the lax security on the part of the FulCo Sheriff's office. He said that he has warned people that something like this could happen for quite awhile now.

Several of the judges around here wear guns under their robes. Too bad this one apparently wasn't.

NP. Since I can't listen to Boortz, and work is slow, I may as well do what I can here to help. Not much else I can do from Austin, TX to help track the perp down in Atlanta....

Our judges here in town carry guns themselves. I wouldn't want to be someone who attempted to kill them. Our business is across the street from the Federal building where court is held.
