This is a breaking news situation.
A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.
The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.
I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.
Someone grabs your gun and it doesn't much matter after that.
In most of Georgia, probably not. In Atlanta, perhaps.
And your stream of consciousness contributes exactly what to this forum?
"There will be enough thugs who will see what he has done as being something great and will help him."
Sadly plausible . . . http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1361031/posts
There is not a racial angle to this crime. I think he would be turned in by most even in the projects.
The victim testified against this animal. She was prepared to testify again.
Isn't Mule Day in Calvary?
You would be arrested and most likely go to jail if you were in NY
He may very well have a hostage by now.
Unless he has some militant-type friends who are willing to take the heat for harboring a cop/judge killer, it won't take a very long time (a few days at most) to catch this guy. Since he's already on trial, they've investigated his life and I'm sure they're pretty familiar with his family/friends/associates. They're going to put the squeeze on them, and they'll squeeze hard until he shows up. I don't think anyone he knows will harbor him--just for that reason.
And when they do find him, he will probably force law enforcement to shoot him dead.
well, again, if you read what I said, I said there would be enough thugs that would help him. I'm sure that there are more that would turn him in...but speaking from 20 years experience in this arena...I can assure you that there are many, many out there that would help him out. I have prosecuted, and defended too many of them to believe otherwise.
IMO, this has already happened - they just have to find him.
Not really too tough if you aren't worried about getting discovered, and if you plan a shooting spree you sure as hell know that you're going to be discovered.
Angels Davis did it in San Rafael, back in 71, when George Jackson was on trial, and that was the day that Judge Halley was killed.

My grandmother was murdered in Atlanta.
The evidence: Fingerprints inside the house.
Signed confession that matched the evidence
of the crime scene.
Testimony by the killer's roommate: "He told
me he killed an old woman that night."
Killer's own testimony on the stand that each
line of the confession was of in his own
words.
Verdict: Not Guilty
I'm sure that they will check his known associates, but there will be some that will still help. I'm sure they will ultimately find him, but it may take a while. It may not. And I feel certain that in the end, he will die for his deeds. Probably quite violently.
Oh God. I'm so sorry.

It's not just him; it is some here.
Watch 'The Godfather' again. Seasoned shooters know that the "eyewitnesses" to homicide nearly always get it ALL wrong & mixed up & confused. Video is much better & I'd bet that Motorist Brian Nichols knew that.
