This is a breaking news situation.
A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.
The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.
I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.

Clerk, at least one Deputy, shot but still alive last heard. Only confirmed dead is the Judge.

Is this the same judge that sentenced the women who killed her baby to be sterilized?
Prayers for all families and folks involved.

You don't--there are plenty of armed, highly trained law enforcement personnel in courthouses to make sure it doesn't happen. Maybe we should ban them from carrying guns. It would make the court system safer, just like it makes the rest of us safer when gun ownership is totally banned for the general population...

HUH? Lock down? The fugitive is on the run already, it's like locking the barn doors after the stock skedaddled or installing a house alarm after the burglary!

Shooter had a mistrial for rape last week, was incarcerated, and scheduled for retrial this morning. I want that juror who voted not guilty in his first trial to feel guilty as h*ll today.Jeez, maybe they ought to rethink keeping these guys in restraints of some kind while in the courthouse.

Looks like the goblin took the gun from a deputy. Don't the cops there wear SECURITY HOLSTERS?
You can get them at any cop shop. Even in my rural WV county all the officers wear them.

Any update on the condition of those shot? I have a cousin who works in Atlanta for the sheriff's. Last I heard he did court security. You guys are great reporters. From WSB-TV, there is no word on the condition of the deputies, but both the court reporter and the judge are deceased. The deputies have both been taken to Grady Hospital.

My hope is when the cops catch him, the treatment he gets will make Rodney King's infamous one seem like a massage at a luxury spa!

MSNBC reporting there is an injury from one of the carjackings, possibly the second stolen vehicle.

Perp described as tall, balding, black male. Is he named Kareem?

I'm in an office building right next to 5 Pts. Guess we're locked down also then, but nobody has said anything.

We're all in a hurry......no problem. Absolutely monstrous action to kill, injure, and carjack innocent people. There is too much evil in this world.
To: mhking
Reported that perp took the gun away from a deputy - two deputys shot in addition to judge.
To: jer33 3
No. IIRC, his name is Howard. Definitely not the same judge, though.
