This is a breaking news situation.
A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.
The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.
I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.

No murders with a gun in a city with about 50,00 to 60,000 in about 25 years. The only murder committed since I have lived here, 13 years, was committed by a transient with a steel bar.
Please, help us Howlin...yes, do that stuff in Freepmail. It is very difficult for us to follow the "happening news" when we have to scan past all the comments on other subjects or personal stuff. Please, let us have this thread for what is breaking now. I ask you very politely, and with respect for everyone. But it is sooo difficult to keep up when there are so many extraneous comments on here that are off-subject. Thank you from the bottom of my news-hungry heart! LOL

CNN's Gary Tuckman is at the courthouse.
Said perp took deputy's gun and shot the deputy and then "took the courtroom hostage".
As I said, the local news reporter Fox aired said the assistant DA told the handcuff story--the one and only time I've heard that detail, so it may or may not be true, but Tuckman has twice now reported the "took the courtroom hostage" description, and then the perp shot the others.
Apparently, I wounded the sensibilities with my comments. Thanks for the ping anyway.
Off-topic> Does anyone else get a hoot from Greg Jarrett on FOX? He is SO HIGH DRAMA... "just think, if this man is capable of what he did in the courtroom, you know he's capable of going into a school and taking children hostage..."
