What charges could be brought against him where the statute of limitations hasn't expired? Even if Terri came to and accused her husband of trying to kill her, it wouldn't be prosecutable at this time to my knowledge...

He has breached his obligations as her trustee and as her guardian -- this all within the past few years -- and he has arguably abused Terri within the past few years.
