Pretty interesting idea.

If nothing else, this should help put to rest the notion that Wal-Mart is a predatory corporate giant that has been the primary force behind each and every ill in the U.S. economy, including low wages, outsourcing to China, etc.

When Wal-Mart charges $10 for a wire-transfer to Mexico that costs $14.99 at Western Union, there's really nothing for Western Union to complain about. It's not as if Wal-Mart is hiring some illegal alien to carry the cash to Mexico on a burro.

I might pay extra for something like that.

I'll make five predictions for Wal-mart business by 2015. (1) The National Bank of Wal-Mart will surge and have one million members by 2015. (2) A Chinese car company will sign a deal to sell cheap SUVs at Wal-marts across the US (less than $14k each). (3) Some Wal-marts will bring in cheaper doctors (from China and Pakistan) and start providing Wal-mart clinics at a few stores. (4) Wal-mart will start adding and extension onto all super-stores, and offer large furniture displays of cheap items made in China. (5) Chinese scooters will be marketed by 2010 and at least 30 per week will be sold at all super-stores.
