All I'm saying is that if jeans is what someone prefers to wear to church, or any other place, then that is their right to do so. Who am I to judge?

You can draw a lot of conclusions about somebody based on what they wear in certain circumstances. A person who wears a baseball cap while eating indoors or wears a t-shirt to a good restaurant is probably someone who wasn't raised right and isn't really worth knowing.

Is it God drawing conclusions or you?

You would really judge someone as a person not worth knowing because they wear a t-shirt to a good restaurant? How Christian is that?

Yes, there are some people who draw conclusions based on other's appearances. The fact that you would judge someone based on nothing other than what they were wearing in a certain situation is, IMO, very un-Christian-like. One thing my momma taught me as a little girl was to not "judge a book by it's cover". Other similar lessons were learned in Sunday School. I'm 49 years old now and I remember the lessons, and try very hard to live by them.

When going to an entertainment venue or to a restaurant, wear whatever you like that is modest. After all you are the customer. (exception of course if the establishment has a posted or well known dress code)

Simply saying that you have to dress up to go to the opera is hogwash. I paid for the ticket, they are performing to please me, I will be comfortable. I would no more dress to buy entertainment than I would to buy laundry detergent at Wal-mart. (And when it comes to opera the odds are great that I'd get more enjoyment out of the laundry detergent anyway)

When attending a wedding, funeral or other social function dress as the bride/family/hostess would have you dress. You are at their function and you are not a customer

When traveling, unless you will not have time to change before a meeting/function that demands business/formal dress, wear comfortable clothes. Again you are the customer, you are paying them to transport you from place a to place b.

When attending church, dress your heart in repentance, faith and expectation of being in God's presence. As long as your dress doesn't overly distract others (that is, dress modestly) God doesn't care what you wear. He looks on the heart of man, not the flesh

Or maybe they're just embarrased about their bald head??

Anyway, I wouldn't care to associate with people who would think those people are not "worth knowing." So the feeling would probably be mutual.

Jesus seemed to hang out with a lot of folks that the religious establishment (complete with their traditions and dress codes) didn't think were "worth knowing". Knowing what we know now, who do you think it was more important to hang out with in the A.D. 30's: Jesus or the Religious Club?
