Los Angeles Mayoral Election Results - Live Thread
It looks like those first results are from mail-in ballots.
http://www.nbc4.tv/news/4266817/detail.html
"City election officials said a count of mail-in ballots gave Hahn 28,674 votes, or 30 percent -- followed by former Assembly speaker Bob Hertzberg, with 24,840 votes, or 26 percent. They were followed by city Councilman Antonio Villaraigosa, who had 22,111 votes, or 23 percent."
The mp3 file is linked here. More than you'd ever want to hear! LOL

Hahn didn't really have a "meltdown".. he just wasn't prepared to be screamed down by a talkshow host. Hahn was poorly served by whoever decided to book him on that show.

According to the LA Times, Bustamante was going to win.
Well, this race managed to get ugly.
No surprise in that however, since they're all democrats.
ALL democrats = meaning the top three.
LOL. I was just thinkin' this 'live' thread is kind of 'dead.' LOL.
The Pubbies are getting about 2% of the absentee vote collectively.
Fog is being blamed for the delay. LOL.
Maybe Diebold is busy fixing the results.
The RATS can have this state, it's a lost cause anyways.
Think of what it would be like if it were rain. Today was the most sunny in LA since about December sometime. :)
