Los Angeles Mayoral Election Results - Live Thread
I made my "lesser of evils" vote for HERTZBERG. I did enjoy singing to myself the rest of the day...hertz so berg...come on baby make it hertz so berg...sometimes lacitypolitics don't go like it should baby, hertz so berg.
>>I made my "lesser of evils" vote for HERTZBERG.
He's no better than Villaraigosa. See:

Villaraigosa on top? And Hahn again? grrr.

It looks like it will be Hahn vs Villaraigosa, Round II.
I am aware of no precedent of an incumbent polling so poorly in a primary and then going on to win the runoff...
In 1992, when Ira Reiner found himself in a similar predicament, he decided to drop out of the race.

Hertzberg is inching (by fractions) closer to Hahn. Depending on which precincts haven't reported yet (29%), he might still make it. I certainly hope not.
You were right the first time when you said "Vote for Hahn".
It looks like all of the pollsters have some egg on their face (again).
I wonder how Hahn can cobble a majority in the runoff. He needs solid black support, or he's done. It will be interesting to see how Parks plays this...
>>I wonder how Hahn can cobble a majority in the runoff.
Well, if they finished investigating all the allegations of corruption and he was cleared, it couldn't hurt, LOL.
Time will tell!

Ah hell, I'm just gonna have to move.
Close to 4,000,000 people live in the city of Los Angeles... and less than 10% of them bothered to show up at the polls.
Yep Hahn is toast unless something very surprising happens. Watch for Parks and Hertzberg to endorse V.
