I'm assuming Rush read the entire article
"Mexico seeks protection for illegals".
He's calling them "protesters" rather than "Minutemen", but it's obvious who he's talking about as they are clearly referenced in the article.
Many thanks to ArmyTeach and KiloLima for the heads up.

Has Rush ever supported illegal immigration? Or has he just not given it much air time?

I don't think he's ever supported illegal immigration. He also hasn't given it much air time until recently.

I heard this part. Rush was very fair in his assessment of the MMP's motives.
Said the action is born of frustration that no one in power seems to be listening.

At least, not until her account has been re-instated.
Seems the authorities finally got wise to her schtick.

"No one in power" is code for his beloved George Bush, whom he is loathe to criticize outright. (BTW, I'm a Rush fan, but the "rah rah, cis boom bah" for everything that President Bush does, right or wrong, annoys the heck outta me.)

Well now, isn't that interesting? Guess I'll have to go scan a few threads from today...

If he is giving the MM the benefit of any doubt that could help thwart possible thoughts by any in government to Davidianize the MM. The MSM will of course trot with Fox.

The MMP in Arizona in April could be a watershed event in national border politics, due to massive media coverage.
Yes, elements of the MSM will try to falsely depict the Minute Men as "vigilantes" etc etc, but as we know, the MSM monopoly and its ability to shape perceptions has been shattered. We now have folks of Rush's caliber on our side, as well as the blogosphere on our side.
When the MSM attempts to spin their standard lies, we will be able to get the truth to friendly media outlets inside of the MSM's reporting times. I hope that the MMP has some spokespersons with text messaging capabilities, in order to immediately preempt and counter MSM lies as incidents occur in real time.

At this point, with El Rushbo chiming in like this, those who still refuse to deal with the issue, or to downplay it, are truly marginalized ON THE LEFTWARD EDGE!
