Some safety instruction for our gun owner Freepers.
Kinda like the local yokel who killed the guy out your way a couple of years back and shot his own thumb off in the process. An AD, yeh - you bet it was!
To my knowledge, there is no Glock chambered in 38. Perhaps that's the problem with your friend's Glock-handling (and not the Glock, if that's the problem).
Mine are stone-ax reliable. Pull the trigger, they go Bang! and cycle. Don't pull the trigger, and they are inert.
L0l, I never even looked at it! That would be a problem!
The gunsmith looked at it and didnt notice it being an inproper round.
I hear many have good luck with them, that one scared me L0L He shot a Walther the rest of the day without incident
That's fine. I hope so too. But the weapons that were being demonstrated in the classroom, an environment where it is very difficult to keep the muzzle from sweeping past something you don't want to shoot ... those guns should have been unloaded before they came into the room, and no ammunition for those guns should have been anywhere near them during the demonstration.
Thanks for that story. I shouldn't be but am still laughing at that guy, oh my!
It is a pity there are so many fools out there to give us all a bad name.
Wonder if he put 38 in a model 28 .380?
That would do it!
He wasn't there to protect the children (obviously!!)... he was there to infect their minds with anti-gun, anti-drug government propaganda. "I'm the only one in the room professional enough to carry a gun..."
Probably mean .357 Sig. There are Glocks chambered for .380, but they aren't sold in North America. Not importable because of the "non-sporting" "points" test.
wow... more proof that those nasty handguns are dangerous for us civilians to have, and are safe only in the hands of trained professionals...
What a FREEPING IDIOT!!!
Typical stupid arrogant cop!
No, actually they were quite calm until he asked to be handed the carbine. THEN they panicked.
Thanks for the update...but not everyone has a new Glock. Prolly more old ones out there.
Cycling the action an extra time after clearing can be good, because if the gun wasn't unloaded it becomes pretty obvious.
"Hmmm...let's unload this thing; 1) pull back slide and eject chambered round, 2) let slide go, 3) remove magazine, 4) drop hammer by pulling trigger 5) Embarrass self by sending sand everywhere."
Well, at least the rookies followed enough procedures to use the sand barrel.
Oh that is funny. This is a joke right? This guy isn't a for real poo'licemen now is he?
"We were having the advance training, he and I.. "
The video's legit.
Ah, he was training to be a suicide shooter, no?
He made the accident inevitable when he said that he was the only person in the room professional enough to have the pistol.
Last fall I was fishing with my buddy Tom, who said "I got this new buzzbait, I never catch a damn thing with these." Of course, on his second cast he caught a 3.5 pound bass - not bad for Maryland.
