You blame Bill Clinton for this?
No! The Clintoons are amoral, ethically-challenged miserable pieces of political garbage. BTW you forgot about Chelsea's questionable parentage too. When Clintoon raped Broaddrick in the late 70s and informed her that she wouldn't get pregnant because he was sterile due to childhood mumps and the Clintoons were married in the early 70s, Chelsea was born in 82. Who do you think Chelsea's daddy is? Many believe that ole Webb Hubbell serviced Hitlery in her quest to appear as the all-American family on the rise to the WH.
Last time I checked the CFR was real.
It would not have done any good to go after Clinton, but it would have allowed the main stream media to do to President Bush what they did to all previous Republican, demonize him.
Look what happened to Ken Starr to see how it works.
By taking the high road, none of the mud thrown at the President has stuck.
The American people only have to ask, who do I believe, the President or the media?
Bill Clinton will be judged by history.
Let it go. He's a Tar Baby, he'll stick to you. If his detractors didn't obsess over him he'd probably fade away. And good riddance. I think GWB handled it just right.
No. I just don't think anything can really be proved to the point of prosecution right now (not to mention the mood of this country) and hopefully...one of these days (in about 30yrs) someone will want to revisit this and maybe write a book or produce a movie ala "JFK."
I agree with your reasoning in #7. Personally, I think it would have lent more credibility to the presidency if we held former presidents to a higher standard than, say, a tinpot dicator, which is how Clinton acted. But others with more knowledge of politics than I have are convinced that President Bush has acted correctly in this matter.
Secondarily, this prez doesn't "embrace" BC - he is deferential and cordial to the man as a former president. I don't see him inviting Bill to Prairie Chapel, nor do I see the Bushes vacationing or otherwise hanging out together. They have appeared together at formal and/or regular gatherings of such people.
You and I might turn our backs on BC in public, walk on the other side of the street if we saw him, or otherwise shun him. But I really don't think you want that from the current leader. And I certainly don't want him using his time to keep/develop secret files, enemy lists, or dossiers on FOB's as he orders FBI employees, etc. to do his personal bidding to "uncover" BC's trails. That work is for others.
Much like Edmund Burkes relentless pursuit of Hastings during that impeachment, where also there was no conviction, the satisfaction will have to be that lone corruption on Hasting's scale was not repeated because the proof of pursuit had been exhibited as ready and waiting.
If someone who defended Clinton from some of his action changes his story for a grand jury, on a crime where the time limit hasn't tolled, Bill could find himself indicted yet today, but I won't hold my breath. It is a matter of face for his party and not for him, at this point.
Not if you're a fanboi.
No. (Nice summary BTW.)
You are implying that you trust the President in regard to other matters. You could also ask, "Are we wrong about illegal aliens?" or "Are we wrong about the Religion of Peace?" or a whole bunch of other questions; unfortunately.

As Clinton rehabs himself, his stock climbs. Among Freepers and true partisans of course that won't happen, but to the genreal public it's already began.
To quote an ancient Rock Star: "You can't always get what you want."
The rehabilitation of the impeached Clinton effects reputationof the next likely democrat nominee, Hillary Clinton, in my opinion.
Bill Clinton never went out of his way to embrace Ronald Reagan. As I recall, Reagan's tenure was descibed as the decade of greed.
41 has the dope on 42 and 42 has the dope on 43!
How many chances do you think Bubba should have had to actually do something about terrorism? His response was quite predictable: "You mean people! Don't do that again! That was mean. Mean! You are bad, BAD people! Shame on you." To left-wingers, talking is equal to doing.
Thugs prey on those whom they perceive to be weak. Bubba did more to make the USA look weak than any other president in history, IMO. He may just as well have hung out a "Terrorism Welcome Here!" sign on the White House.
For many years J. Edgar Hoover was the 'keeper of the keys' so to speak. The legacy of J. Edgar lives on today. The answer to your question just could be found in those several hundred FBI files that the Clinton's obtained upon entering the WH.
Remember.........Knowledge is power and silence has a price.
Don't confuse respect for the office with respect for the man.
