For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36) The southern wing of the GOP has led the party to power, and in the process dropped their stands on smaller and less intrusive government, fiscal responsibility, and support for states rights.
"The southern wing of the GOP has led the party to power, and in the process dropped their stands on smaller and less intrusive government, fiscal responsibility, and support for states rights."
Yes, the Northeastern "moderate" Republicans are model proponents of "smaller less intrusive government" and "support for states rights," aren't they? (sarcasm off). As for "fiscal responsibility", the "moderates" are great at raising taxes to pay for ever increasing government programs, but not so terrific at cutting programs or reducing taxes.
