The man accused of shooting up a Hudson Valley mall was indicted on unrelated explosives charges, along with two friends.
Robert Bonelli, Kenneth Stine and Liborio Valguanera waived an arraignment on the charges in federal court in Albany. They're accused of possessing and exploding a pipe bomb. The indictment was handed up Friday.
The three men are from Glasco, about 45 miles south of Albany. Bonelli is in Ulster County Jail after being charged with shooting about 60 rounds from a rifle in the Hudson Valley Mall near Kingston last month, injuring two men.
A video showing the three men making and detonating pipe bombs was found when police searched Bonelli's house.
The explosives charges carry a maximum penalty of ten years in prison and a 250-thousand dollar fine upon conviction.

In any event, I hope they are all away for a long time. IMO They will be trouble when/if they are released.
I don't get it. You can pretty much leagally purchase and use explosives. However, if you stick them in a pipe, suddenly you're facing up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine?
Thanks for the ping!
Anyone stupid enough to make a video of their crimes,
needs to be in jail.
ROFL!!!!
The difference between legal and illegal is the size of the pipe. If the pipe is brass, 2-1/2" long by 1/2 in diameter and plugged at one end with a metal jacketed lead plug, then that is a bullet and is legal to explode. However a 2" diameter by 12" long steel pipe plugged with steel threaded caps, now that is a deal buster and will get you 10 years in stony lonesome.
Now do you get it? ;-)

I guess when I feel the need to blow something up, I'll make sure a pipe isn't involved.
