I suspect Brzezinksi, Albright, and Soros got them involved. Brzezinksi has it out for Russia, and will do anything to split the country into dust. He was the architect of the war in Afghanistan and the recent Ukrainian election..

Are you sure about Afghanistan? Defeat of the Taliban was very much in the interests of Moscow. The Taliban were arming and training the Chechens. Russia nearly started a bombing campaign in Afghanistan about a year before 9/11 if I remember correctly.

But to the administration of President George W. Bush, the former opposition official is a terrorist and should be forced to leave the United States.

This is good to hear. Bush, much to the chagrin of the Euro's, has also refrained from brow-beating Putin in public about Chechnya like the Euro's do. Frankly, though, that's pretty weak "support", and I don't think there will be a congratulatory phone call from the White House to Putin today. At least not one that is publicly noted.

After searching a bit, I also found this:

LAST WEEK, the U.S. government granted political asylum to Ilyas Akhmadov

"During interrogation, he disclosed the names of other perpetrators of this and other crimes, and indicated their possible whereabouts," the spokesman said.

I imagine this POS recieved more than the infamous panty treatment.

You have the wrong war in Afghanistan. You might recall there was one in which Russia was involved, and that is what we are discussing.

Oh, yeah, how dare we criticize Putin? His main response to the Beslan massacre was to take away the voting rights of Russian citizens with regards to governors. And, of course, he's been working hard at stealing Russian companies and redistributing them to his pals. Plus, he's busy selling nuclear technology to Iran. His pals were up to their necks in bribes from Saddam and UN Oil for Blood Plan. He tried to steal an election in Ukraine. It was his Army's advisors who aided Saddam in the run-up to the war. The only tanks we lost in battle on the way to Baghdad were taken down by the latest Russian anti-tank missiles (not old surplus stuff).

Russia is not our friend. Until we have our missile shield up and running, we have to pretend to be nice since they still have ICBM's. Though, I wonder if Bush is going take Putin down with the same talk of freedom and democracy that's taking down so many other autocrats.

No matter, the death of this terrorist is good news. But as long as KGB hacks run Russia, it's a nation just as much our enemy as are the Islamic dictatorships (and France).

Why do you bother to post this tripe? I am no friend of the Russians, but Maskhadov, Basayev and others like them are simply subhumans that need to be eliminated, lest they manage to eliminate us

Being in the picture with Basayev at a military planning event, which later turned out to be Beslan, is more than enough for me.

You've got a picture of that. Please post.

But the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), created after the 11 September attacks, has appealed that decision.

Homeland Security withdrew its appeal.

Please stop spreading the urban myth. Do you really believe it's that easy? If so, why has no one in history used pigs to defeat Muslims? Seems to me someone would have done that by now. Do you really believe it could have stopped the Ottoman Empire? Show me the evidence that Pershing ever did this.

i'm not drew-ish, as they say in Spaceballs, but I always suspect "new-con(artist)" hate is really anti-semitism in disguise. No offense. I'm not say you are an anti-semite, but you might be. if (truth==Christ) and (Christ==Jew) does (Jew==truth)? hmmmmm :)
