Why don't you post a separate post for Chicago Freepers to join you in a protest? You might get a good response like that. And of course when you do protest - we expect a full account posted here on Free Republic and pictures! ;-) Good Luck to you!
This is what they do - its not very nice
There are DU people cheering these people? Supporting this occupation of terrorist?
George W Bush is bring Democracy to a neighborhood near you. Ooorahhhh...get some!
Thank you for the link! Just makes me choke up! DUers are sick people!
When CNN poses pictures from far away of huge crowds I will believe them, but until then old media tricks waste my time. MSM = not believable until proof is shown.
Good luck with the demonstration.
I echo areafiftyone's point. You should start a thread about the demo.
All the best.
Cheers.
Oh sure they do. They right way call you a freeper and then your posts get banned. I have never joined the group because I just can't bring myself to - even to disrupt them. I just figure I can find out what's going on there without joining.
Interesting... Brent Sadler just interviewing a Christian woman that took part in today's demonstration.
She said it was neither pro-Hizbollah, or pro-Syria, or anti-American. She said, she took part to thank Syria for honouring the Taif accords.
Weird woman :-)
Cheers.
Probably the sentiments of 75% of those participating. Most afraid of revealing their true sentiments such as a love of freedom from Syrian tyranny, (AKA a pro-American ideal celebration.) The freedom cat is out of the bag in the middle east.
How many people can you ship in from Syria in one day? They aren't fooling me a bit.
This momentum must continue.
To those that question our intent on, and have great suspicion on our motives, I say do not hate America because of our desire for human, political and economic freedom in your region, and throughout the world. Your success will mean further peace.
To those that are against our actions in building up and supporting emerging nations, I say measure our intent not by what we say, but what we do. Your peoples confidence in this endeavor is crucial.
To those with century old conflicts, I believe there is enough room on this world for diverging opinion, and peaceful discourse. Can we not work towards building human, political, and economic freedom for all nations?
If not now, when? How many terrorist bombs must explode? How much longer shall our innocent children and grandchildren die? How many people must starve? How many more homes and shops must be destroyed? How much longer shall women not vote? How much longer shall peaceful religious views be persecuted?
Terrorism, political or religious, is not the answer. All nations and their people must take control of their destiny and root out those that hamper your future.
Go Lebanon go.
And what honeys they are --
No comparison to the pro-independence women --
That's a great idea!
Well, the anti-Syria girls are clearly more modern and westernized looking.
Wait, I've just watched news report on this event on tv. There is a young and pretty girl in head scarf, talking in fluent english to reporter about how she is against western intervention in Lebanon. It's just weird, I am always under the impression that all the well-educated people in third world countries should be pro-western..........
(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
They don't want western intervention (nice spin, considering we're not in Lebanon -- the demands for independence are coming from the Lebanese), but they are willing to accept Syrian intervention, and mainly Hezbullah intervention, which means Iranian intervention. These people are the worst elements of Islam and the Arab world, and they are the ones who cuddle terrorists.
