I hope she does receive the therapy. And, would love to see the following:
1. Terri testifying at a criminal trial to prosecute Michael for attempting to murder her on the night she collapsed.
2. Terri testifying that she was aware of all that was being done to her all of these years, and succeeding in the disbarment and prosecution of Felos and Greer.
3. Terri testifying before the Senate and successfully aiding in the creation of legislation stating that if there is no official written living will that courts cannot remove feeding tubes and life support with out extensive medical testing and reports. And if there is a question, always err on the side of life.
I know this isn't the forum for this, but how come John Edwards isn't up in arms about how stem cells can cure her?
In addition Hammesfahr was asked by the Court to produce documentation of the Nobel nomination as well as documentation of cases where his treatment has shown results. He did not do so. It does raise questions concerning the validity of his claims.
This issue would seem to be one that gives the AARP an opportunity to take a stand against those who want to judicially kill this living, but disabled, your lady. I just called their Florida Office to seek their position and was informed they aren't taking a position on this case. They sent me an e-mail to support their position but I have not read it yet. Any others interesting in giving them a call, their phone number is 866-595-7678.
Because John Kerry was not elected. Remember if John Kerry had been elected Christopher Reeve would be resurrected and walking, Terri would be walking around and healed, and no one would ever die or be sick again with all the embryonic stem cell research they were going to have done. One problem, where were they going to get all of the embryos?
Not so sure about the argument that Greer was wrong. The testimony was that Terri Schiavo and the witness were watching a movie about Karen and Quinlan when Terri allegedly made the statement referred to by the witness.
The movie had to be "In the Matter of Karen Ann Quinlan" as it is the only movie made about Quinlan. The movie was a made for TV special and aired in 1977, prior to Quinlan's death. It received poor reviews and dissappeared into obscurity.
If Teri and the witness were watching a movie out Karen Ann Quinlan, Greer's deduction that the comment had to be made in the mid 70's is correct.
I was reading an artivle about a guy who heads a group of disabled people called Not Dead Yet. I wondered if the guy was a freeper or not.

"There was an incident when I told a poor joke about Karen Ann Quinlan. I remember distinctly because Terri never lost her temper with me. This time she did," Meyer testified in 2002." She told me that she did not approve of what was going on or what happened in the Karen Ann Quinlan case."
Meyer told the court that the conversation had taken place, "in the summer of 1982."
FINALLY...someone with brains speaks out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And you sir, have ties to Judge Greers court and have an axe to grind with prejudicial opinions. I'll take anything you say with a grain of salt.
Schiavo gets more time! (Till 3-18)

I rely on common sense and the facts. Further I rely on my long experience as an investigator for a Florida Circuit Court, the Federal Public Defender's Office and my experience acquired while being on the staff of the Director of Medical Education for George Washington University in Washington, DC.
Last word on Terri Schiavo...

I have been in Judge Greer's Court on more than several occasions.
BUMP
Your tin hero was wrong. He thought Quinlan died in the 70's. She didn't. Arguing that the movie couldn't have aired in the 80's is an empty arguement and beside the point.
Florida wants to kill the infirm and disabled and those who believe in life are not accepting it.
"The first quote involved a bad joke and used the verb 'is.' The second quote involved the response from Terri Schiavo, which used the word 'are,'" Greer wrote in his decision. "The court is mystified as to how these present tense verbs would have been used some six years after the death of Karen Ann Quinlan."

LOL, Greer, the blind justice in so many ways.
On your tag line, we have many years of personal experience feeding our son who was far worse than Terri. Doctors insisted on feeding tubes for decades, and we persisted. It is not rocket science either, rather simple, if requiring patience.
Swallow is a basic function even our son had. Terri can swallow saliva and can sure swallow carefully prepared food, with just a tiny bit of loving care. I haven't the slightest doubt Terri would be on a healthy regime of mouth fed food almost immediately. They have a lousy and easily disproved excuse.

I agree.
Stephen Drake, right? I was thinking of asking him.
