The head of the Christian Civic League said hackers destroyed thousands of dollars' worth of the league's intellectual property. They replaced a web page posting the organization's daily newsletter with obscenities and comments advocating atheism.
Heath said he's very upset with what happened here, but he's not surprised. He said the Civic League's strong stand against homosexuality has made it a target for threats and vandals.

I'd say the guy needs to look into replacing his IT team with folks who have heard of firewalls and nightly data backups.
Low sympathy level for folks that don't have backups. Do they erase all their files from their computer when they upload them to the server? When I maintained a site for a religous group, I always had a duplicate of the web site on my computer which I edited for updates.
According to the story, this is the second time they have been hacked. If they didn't learn about backups after the first time, they really shouldn't be playing on the internet.
