"Powering a vehicle by Hydrogen is by no means a new idea ......."Or a good one.

That was Helium...
Geesh why do you guys always shoot down alternative fuels? You LIKE relying on the Middle East? You LIKE making OPEC rich? The combustion engine was invented at the turn of LAST century...shouldn't we be looking for an alternative way to power a vehicle? Oil companies posted their highest earning EVER last quarter...why? Cause Humans can't live without using oil. And granted, alternative fuels for vehicles won't eliminate the need for oil, just reduce the amount of consumption. If we lower our reliance on oil, the Middle East loses a big chunk or economical relevance in the international arena.

(So they've got us surrounded, good! Now we can fire in any direction, those bastards won't get away)

Once again, theres a hydrogen thread and some dolt posts a picture of the Hindenburg.
So that you and others know, the fire you see is the skin of the airship burning NOT the hydrogen.
Hydrogen may or may not be a viable and efficient means of powering our conveyances, but should cars one day be powered by H2, they will not blow up like the Hindenburg.

The Hindenberg wasn't
powered by hydrogen, it just used it for flotation. It was actually powered by a bunch o' big ass diesels.
The Hindenberg does, however, act as a really good argument for not waterproofing your hydrogen-floated airship with rocket fuel...

I suggest that you view bmw's recent effort with a h2 combustion test vehicle that reached 305 klm/h. They also display the ability of their pressurized tanks to both endure impact and flame testing. While your thumbnail conjures emotions from decades past, I doubt that canvas will be the fuel tank of choice.
