JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol said that two children died early Sunday after the car they were in ran a red light and and smashed into another car.
Investigators said the stolen 1990 Buick was speeding down Lenox Avenue about 1:30 a.m. when it ran through the light at Normandy Boulevard and stuck another car and overturned several times.
Kadeem Howell, 11, and Cedric Reed, 15, were pronounced dead at the scene. Two 14-year-olds also in the car were taken to Shands-Jacksonville Medical Center, where Cedric Allen was in serious condition and and Corey Jackson was in critical condition Monday morning.
Two people were in the second car, which burst into flames after the crash. Linda Ervin was in fair condition at Shands and Terriney Clark was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Troopers said the Buick was stolen Saturday from a home on Shindler Drive. No charges had been filed Sunday night, but the crash and car theft were still under investigation.
And one Kadeem. Don't forget Kadeem.
Don't neglect my man Corey-J in the car, too, yo.

I'm sure the state will now pass a law outlawing stolen cars getting into the hands of criminals. Sound familiar?
you gotta keep your car locked up and all cars sold must now come with an alarm system...
Cedric the Entertainer, meet Cedric the EMT.
There's three lights for the intersection.
"...The parents were probably in bed asleep passed-out on drugs and alcohol..."
There, that's a more likely explanation for the location of the "parents" in question.

Looks like we have to ban evil Buicks
How far out of your way as a journalist do you have to go to avoid pointing out that the kids were the thieves and not just "in" the car?! This is an incredible example of obfuscation.
There's one like that in the 'hood of my yout'. It's commonly called, "Five Points."
"sounds they got what was coming to them."
Our little darlings under 18 have diminished responsibility because their brains are still developing. At least that's what I just learned from the all-wise US Supreme Court. The court weighed European opinion and junk science to reach that finding.
More info here. They were running from the cops.
Sad, but the truth is, there was no realistic hope for an 11 year old and 15 year old who were stealing cars at 1:30AM -- better they died now, than live to commit a bunch of stabbings, rapes, and murders. Thankfully, the innocent victims in car they hit will be okay.
ON FCN's report last night, they said the 11 yr old had stolen the car so I figured he was driving.
We've got one of those here too.
But there's no light, it's a stop sign and only 4 of the five ways has to stop. It's a clusterf***....
By golly, you're right!
Given the utter lack of common sense most people display at a 4-way stop in this day and age, I can imagine.
Yeah ... pitty the loss of business for the poor crack dealers.
There goes the economy.
I thought thhis same thing, The Supreme Court may have outlawed Capitol punishment for juvies but God hasnt.
Kadeem, Cedric, Cedric, Corey.
Hmmmm.
