My family followed the LOTR closely. Games, books costumes..all made at home. When we found out about the proclivities of the actor who played Gandalf, it changed the last movie for us. It gave us a distance we didn't have with the first two. Oh we watched it, but it was different. They had somehow "soiled" our story by trying to normalize something that we felt was "ours."
Looks like they are going to "soil" another story.
Remember that Harrison ford movie which just died in theaters because of the then lesbian actress? I forgot her name.
He movie creer pretty much died.
I don't remember Galdalf trying to seduce the hobbits.
Sorry, but I just can't understand how an actor's personal life which is not reflected in any way in the film is "normalizing"something that was "yours". He was in all three movies, you know!
