PHOTOS: Sex Club Raid Nets Nine ArrestsCOCOA, Fla. -- A raid at an adult club led to the arrest of nine people, including a UCF police sergeant, for sex crimes. Undercover agents went into Showboat Adult World in west Cocoa after they were told something illegal was going on inside.
Showboat Adult World is still open. Investigators say, right now, they don't have any evidence the theatre, or its employees, were doing anything wrong. But for nine men inside there Friday, the show is over.
Agents say the nine men did not come to Showboat Adult World just to see the latest blockbuster. The group of mostly middle-aged suspects tried to hide from view as they were arrested for crimes ranging from exposing themselves to committing various sex acts. One by one, they were searched, cuffed and taken off to jail.
"Once somebody exposes themselves or performs a sex act inside the theatre is when they are in violation of our county ordinance," explained Sgt. Andrew Walters, Brevard County Sheriff's Office.

Several undercover deputies raided the theater portion of the building, where pornographic movies are played, after they received a complaint about illicit activity. Authorities say they had no idea how many people would be there during the lunch hour on a business day.
"It served the need to do this operation, seeing, in the middle of the day on a Friday afternoon, it culminates into nine arrests," said Walters.
Deputies say no employees were arrested in the raid and, while deputies say they found the illegal activity inside the business, they didn't have the authority to shut it down.
The nine men arrested during the raid Friday are Jay Padgett, Shelton Butler, Sam Hilton, James Allen Faist, Raymond Hemke, Alfonso Anthony Micela, William Gregory Mattingly, Tore Anton, and Theodore Ross Rice. They were all booked at the Brevard County jail on a variety of charges.
