Hey, y'all! I'm checking in with an announcement about two young men in my family whom I'm very proud of. And I think we can all be proud of them.

My cousin's son is now in the Police Academy in New Orleans.

Another cousin's son is going to West Point.

That makes four straight generations where someone in the family has defended their community on the police force. And every generation since the Alamance Regulators and Mecklenburg Boys of 1771 where family members have defended their country in the armed forces.

" 1. "Wild Weekend" by the Rebels."

I've always liked that song. I was in a band way back when that did a weird cover version of that song. I played the guitar part on the bass. :)

How about:

Cheeseburger in Paradise - Jimmy Buffett

Trying to amend my carnivorous habits,
Made it nearly to seven a day,
Losing weight while I'm speed-eating sunflower seeds,
Drinking up carrot juice while soakin' up rays,

...Heaven on earth with an onion slice...... which way do I steer?

LOL!
