Former Sex Pistols performer Glen Matlock calls for less profanity in Music and TV now that he has children.
HEY GLEN! could it be 30 years too late??
I love how these aging Punk rockers have suddenly found themselves now that they have kids.
The Sex Pistols were very popular when I was in High School. I never understood the attraction myself. I was into the Beatles, the Stones, the B52s, Devo
Neil Young... etc. I never cared for the groups that used profanity at the drop of a hat. Call me an old fogey!

I'd rather have swearing on TV than rampant sexuality and especially homosexuals.

SID VICIOUS RULES!
OK, sorry I had to say that just to see what kind of reaction I'll get.

Didn't they urinate on their audiences a time or two?

The Ramones are better than the Sex Pistols.

I agree. However I think sexuality does have a place in entertainment...the thing I disagree with is sexuality for sexuality's sake.
As a (recent) example: my girlfriend and I were watching TV last night, and a commercial for Bridgestone Tires (I believe) came on. Now, I'm not sure how watching a bunch of half-naked models dance in the rain is supposed to help sell tires, but it certainly didn't make me want to rush out and buy a set.
I just can't see the connection. Why did there need to be wet half-naked people dancing around? Couldn't they just, I dunno, show tires? I'm no marketing exec, but that seemed overly gratuitous.
Just my two cents.

Agree -
Scrubbing bubbles and Mr. Clean never made any kids I know want to run and clean the bathrooms!
That said, this is typical entertainment industry hypocrisy. Remember Bowie and his girlfriend marrying because their children were called nasty names when they bought an expensive home outside of London?
Wasn't it Goldie Hawn who said she never allowed her kids to watch anything with swear words? While commendable, it is what we all try to do.
Why won't Hollywood and the entertainment industry try cleaning up their products?

Fine. Just leave "Deadwood" alone.

This doesn't surprise me. Glen got tossed out and replaced by sid vicious because he liked the Beatles.
