Just in case you want to be ready...
"Pilotos, empiezan sus motores." (Drivers, start your engines.)
No Cup race this weekend, but a very unusual Busch points race in Mexico City on tap for Sunday. Should be interesting!!

I have the F1 race on now. No bump drafting ! The best drivers in any series. No doubt about it.

Thanks for the thread, WCG. I just logged in to catch up on the reading and get the start time.
Fernandez even has a warning for his American rivals. "My advantage is the fans," he said recently at Daytona. "If I don't win, the other drivers will have a problem. They cannot touch me, or otherwise they will not get out of the country."
What are they doing racing down there??? Unfriggenbelievable.

Used to love F1, back in the days of Jimmy Clark and Graham Hill. Now the planes look like a bunch of low fying planes from the Lockheed Skunkworks. It lacks personality. And the racing isn't all that good. Too much follow the leader since passing on most circuits is nearly impossible.
I was raised on F1 and used to race sports cars, and we went around the circuit the proper way, clockwise. But NASCAR has a great product. It's about racing. Doorhandle to doorhandle. It's the way real people drive! At least in Boston :)

Just to add a bit, I was still into F1 when the IROC series started, and was surprised the "guys that only turned left" really did very well. (Don't follow IROC anymore, so don't know who's on top)
