Assuming this is a true case of hermaphrodism, why in the heck didn't they switch the kid to a different school? And if he/she is still biologically a girl, which bathroom is she using? And how is this being explained to 4th-graders? As a grandparent, I would not like my grandkids to have to deal with this in elementary school.

They siad though that she is still biologically female. So that rules out hermaphrodism.

I agree, the child should be switched to another school, preferably in a different school district. I don't know if it's hermaphrodism or medical transsexuality - the article doesn't say.
