Assuming this is a true case of hermaphrodism, why in the heck didn't they switch the kid to a different school?I agree, the child should be switched to another school, preferably in a different school district. I don't know if it's hermaphrodism or medical transsexuality - the article doesn't say.

why in the heck didn't they switch the kid to a different school?Well, that pretty much proves the parents lack good judgment right there. I hope they're not trying to force "enlightenment" on the other chidren and use their troubled child as an example for teaching "diversity and acceptance," though somehow it wouldn't surprise me.
