Your killing me, veggie? what is my world coming to.
Wonder how they will define "his" PMS in a couple of years.
And then some!
When this child begins her menses, is she going to take care of this standing at a urinal in the boys' bathroom?
Brain Differences:
Theory: The brains of TV's and TS's are different from non-transgendered people.
Argument for: The brains of men and women are actually very different in the way they work. It is now thought that transsexual brains are also different in makeup to those of 'normal' men. They are not the same as those of females, but do have many similarities. They are in effect somewhere between the two. To say that transsexual people have the brain of women and the body of men would be wrong, but it is not a million miles from the truth. Recent research shows a marked difference between the hypothalamus of M2F transsexual people and other males. They are much more like the hypothalamus of women. Those of gay and heterosexual men are identical.
Argument against: There is very little argument against this theory, as post mortems have backed it up. There have, however, only been a few such post-mortems and I do not know whether they were carried out on pre or postoperative TS's.
1 - Very little research. 2 - M2F transgender... nothing on F2M transgender.
The sex change is called addadicktome.
I guess you just can't be a tomboy any more. I'm sure glad I'm in my fifties and not coming up now. I'd be in deep trouble now. I was a big time tomboy and really, still am. Never have been very feminine, but can dress up and fake it. I remember taking a test once at work that asked questions about how you would deal with certain situations. I came up male. I don't like to shop, love to ride horses, rope and shoot. But, I've been happily married for 35 years and have a grown son. I don't look "manish" so who knows. Just think, I've missed out on finding my inner self all these years. I guess I could sue my parents if they weren't dead. Oh, well.
Interesting page bump!
I have a buddy who discovered a male use for tampons. In the military, he would carry them to stuff into bulletand other puncture wounds. He was later an EMT. Got real wierd looks carrying a few tampons in his kit.
I respectfully disagree.
Women have two X chromosomes, men have one X and one Y. There is information on "extra" leg of the 2nd X chromosome that is "missing" on the Y chromosome, and that determines the sex of the child. I think we'd both agree thus far.
Now, what if that same information was "missing" from the extra leg of the 2nd X chromosome? We already know that the gender gene isn't the only information on that extra leg - it's how women can be carriers of some genetic diseases but not be afflicted themselves. So, it's entirely possible that the information could be missing from the second X chromosome as well.

This is child abuse, plain and simple. These parents should be taken out and shot.
"addadicktome"
no it's addadicktoyou, thanks but I came out with an issued as is model.
LMAO
Didn't Lawrence Summers get slammed for saying the same thing? The parents should have a talk with the Harvard women.
I agree, the child should be switched to another school, preferably in a different school district. I don't know if it's hermaphrodism or medical transsexuality - the article doesn't say.
Frankensteinette.
A week or so ago, I ran across a report on this same thing,
deciding if one was a boy or a girl and changing sex.
But, not for 4th graders.
Watch for it, this is only the beginning, there will be more, the insane need something new to talk about.
Massachusetts.
"Frankensteinette"
or maybe Janetrenoesk
If this kid's brain is female, but the body is male, what does that make this kid?
Frankensteinette.
