SAN DIEGO Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger was in San Diego Thursday to promote his proposed ballot measures to change the state budgeting practices, pension system, teacher pay and legislative redistricting.
Schwarzenegger appeared on KOGO radio's Roger Hedgecock Show, before joining the host to gather signatures to bring his measures before voters, officials with Schwarzenegger's office said.
Schwarzenegger has proposed reforming California's budget system, changing teacher pay to award merit rather than tenure, revising the way political districts are drawn and revamping the state's pension system.
"What we are doing here is the private sector is paying for the public sector to have this gold-plated pension system that is going to bankrupt our state," Schwarzenegger said. "It is unfair to the people, to the hard-working people of California, they are paying for it."
Schwarzenegger's radio appearance in Mission Valley was met by a group of protesters upset over his teacher pay proposal.
If Schwarzenegger gathers enough support, his reform measures could go before voters in November.

Shoot. I thought by the headline he had stopped in to Sioux Falls or Rapid City...

He can with our help. I can't stand those flagrantly lying ads either. I'm glad to hear he's got rebuttal ads on radio now but it's not enough. Those teacher's unions are hugely influential on the sheeple.
