Non-Muslims in Makkah and Madinah (No Infidels Allowed!)
Arab News ^ | March 4, 2005 | Adil Salahi

Q. Some people argue that preventing non-Muslims from visiting Makkah and Madinah deprives them of a chance to be impressed with Islam. Some say that they could be informed of the protocols they have to observe and allowed to visit the two mosques. After all, Islam is very tolerant in its attitude to other faiths. Please comment.

Muhammad Asif

A. That Islam is tolerant is beyond doubt. But tolerance and kind treatment of the followers of other faiths does not mean contravening the rules of our religion. The question of prohibiting entry of non-Muslims into Makkah and Madinah is not one on which personal points of view can be voiced. It is a religious matter legislated by God. It is He who says: “Believers, know that the idolaters are certainly impure. So, let them not come near to the Sacred Mosque after this year is ended.” (9: 28) The Prophet explained that this prohibition applies to all non-Muslims. We cannot change a clear divine ruling. Besides, there is no question of trying to impress non-Muslims by allowing them to visit the place. If they want to learn about Islam, they can certainly do so without having to visit a place, because Islam is not about places; it is about one’s relations with God. As for Madinah, the Prophet extended to it the same treatment as Makkah.

Here's another crock:

If they want to learn about Islam, they can certainly do so without having to visit a place, because Islam is not about places...

Wow! You'd have to be thoroughly oblivious not to know that, without "places" (i.e., Mecca, Medina, especially), they would have NO religion at all. That has got to be the biggest lie I have ever witnessed one of the ragtime cowboys tell...

Are you aware that the penalty for violating that stricture is "death by beheading"? It's not like a simple traffic ticket.

I'm not one to tell the Imam his theology, but that refers to athiests, animists, Hindus, and other non-believers. Christians, Jews, and Muslims are not included in that prohibition as they are all believers in the one God -- "people of the book" as it were.

So appearently there WAS a time when infidels COULD enter Mecca and Medina.

Both cities were extensivley settled by Jews in the pre-Muslim era.

I'd like to visit Mecca when they hold the World Series there. [The Hebrew Nation sign is about where the Kaaba will used to be.]

Their whole system is such a monstrous lie, it is hardly worth talking about.

because Islam is not about places

Then what is the obsession with territory and the prohibitions on non-muslims ?

Why are you goat humpers so obsessed with Jerusalem which isn't even MENTIONED in your blood drenched unholy book the Koran ??

We should wait until the maximum amount of Mooslims are in the holy cities, then use a neutron bomb and send them to paradise.

No way !!!

Use Colbalt jacketed dirty fission bombs and keep giving the gift that keeps on giving for 10,000 years.

I'd like to see that place so contaminated that people will die from radiation poisoning 5000 years after we hit those animals.
