I pray that prayer nearly every day.
"God's will" doesn't mean we participate, endorse, or allow the starvation death of a woman who didn't ask for it, and who responds to loving care. OTOH, we can find numerous places in Scripture where the hurting, disabled, and pitiful were cared for by God.
I am not without experience in dying situations. Once my grandfather was gone, breathing only through a machine, we said goodbye. This is not the case with Terri. All she needs is nutrition.
There would be a lot of screaming and protesting by the left if she were a convicted murderer about to be put to death.
You are an honorable person. We only differ on whether she said she wouldn't want to live in this state. I have seen no evidence to prove she didn't say it and the court agrees. My wife and I made out living wills and powers-of-attorney because of this case. I have told her and her sister to err on pulling the feeding tube too soon and never question their action if this ever happens to me.
I would like nothing better than to see Terri recover and lead a long happy life. I went through this situation in Viet Nam with a friend and I have very strong feelings on the subject when the higher brain is missing.
God be with you.
