Over the time, I've read more or less every kind of horror story : the pedophile French relief workers in Congo, the teen-age bordello some US soldiers had organized in ex-Yugoslavia in 1998 or 1999, the bizarre same-sex abuse of young Canadian soldiers by their room-mates... There are times when I really need to stop reading newspapers and delve deep into a good history book.
You won't find much to cheer you up. This kind of thing was even more common in days gone by, I think.
