Announcing the TEAM CONDI Message Board
Americans For Dr. Rice ^ | 3/2/2005 | Section9

Good Evening Fellow Freepers.

I'd like to take this opportunity to announce that your friendly grassroots Condoleezza Rice for President 527 Committee, also known as Americans For Dr. Rice, has finally set up a message board that we affectionately call TEAM CONDI. Yes, we know that President Bush was only inaugurated two months back. We also know that due to the activities of the Grand Kleagle and Babs, Miss Condi has been on the job for a shorter period of time than that.

But since Hillary Clinton is already hiring staffers for her 2008 campaign, we figured that we'd best get started, if only to make up for lost time.

To that effect, Americans for Dr. Rice was created on Condi Rice's birthday last November. I'm not going to waste Jim's bandwidth justifying Condi Rice-I've done plenty of that during the first four years of Bush. Finally, we are a very Freeper Friendly board. The webmaster has had a link to FR since he opened back in November. Our board is designed as a Condi Rice grassroots campaign news and networking tool, nothing more. It is not designed to compete with FR. To be honest, we don't have the resources or the software to compete with FR, nor would we want to. We'd like to think we're all in the same boat.

BTW, methinks the Boy President of Syria may be on the receiving end of those stiletto boots in the near future.

I believe that President Bush will select Condi Rice to take the VP role, then heir apparent in 2008.

This is a horribly bad idea. VPs are very seldom elected to the top spot.

I think it's a great idea. The only way Condi would even have a chance of losing in this scenario is if the economy took a nose dive somewhere between 2007 and election day in 2008, but I even think she would overcome that as well and win going away.

Come to think of it this scenario hasn't occurred all that often. Bush 41 won in 1988 and Gore would have in 2000 if it weren't for the Clinton/Monica affair. So from there you would have to go back to Nixon losing in '60 if my memory of history is correct. (I was only born on Sept. 11, 1961) And before that... sometime before FDR.

I've been saying this for well over a year now. I know you "don't change horses in midstream" but, the wisest choice would have been for Bush to put Condi on the 2004 ticket. This scenario would be just as favorable. True, the incumbent isn't always successful, but Condi would have Hillary wondering whether the Dems locked up the black vote.

Give her the Dubya 41 contract. Dubya was pro-choice.
