Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a leading critic of the Bush administration's environmental policies, is expected to tell Sacramento legislators today how federal changes in policies and laws could harm California.

Kennedy is scheduled to speak this morning at a Legislature hearing by joint environmental committees dealing with the threat of pre-emption of state laws as well as with new air-quality and water-supply problems.

"A longtime colleague of Kennedy, Tamminen founded watchdog groups similar to the San Francisco Baykeeper in Santa Monica and four other cities. He moved to Environment Now. During the recall campaign, he sent critiques on the environment to the candidates, including Schwarzenegger, whom he had met. Schwarzenegger called him, and they started working together."

Here we go again. Well, sadly, he will have an attentive audience of the leftist California legislature.

The whole article is well worth reading all the way to the end. In fact, some of the best parts are hidden toward the end.

It is from this joker and a handful of No. Cal leftist GANG-GREEN Socialista EnvironMental/GovernMental activists that he got the el-stupido idea to lock up 1/5th of CA's land mass, to match the CA Coastal Commission on the west, with the Sierra-Nevada CONservancy on the east!!!

Hell, let's bring in Patrick Kennedy from Rhode Island and Fat Teddy himself, and we'll call it a Trifecta of Buffoonery.

All we'll need are dancing midgets and beautiful girls riding on donkeys.

Say, are Maddy Albright and John Edwards free? If they'll bring Howard Dean, they'll have the jackass for Johnny to ride on.

It's not a circus, it's a bloody pageant!

It's a partisan dog and pony show to create a forum for Kennedy to lecture the Bush administration. This so-called hearing is an "informational hearing." with no legislative standing. I saw the agenda yesterday and there is nothing new or breaking on it. It is just lots of talk about "the state of the environment" whatever that means.

Republican members of the Natural Resources Committee won't be there.

Yes, this has been a leftist ploy for some time now -- the Clinton Reign of Terror was real guilty of this type of socialist land-grab scheme, just more empowerment of the government over what belongs to the people...just more out of the Communist Manifesto...etc. You are right on!!

Totally tiresome. . .and compared to 'Freedom' breaking in the ME; just the 'smell' of which should be acknowledged and celebrated. . .Kennedy et al. . .pale into newsworthy nothingness.

From ActivistCash.com:

 Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Robert F. Kennedy Biography
The way Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has assumed command of the Water Keeper Alliance, you’d almost think he started the environmental movement on his own. But he actually stumbled into it as a result of a 1984 criminal conviction for heroin possession. A judge sentenced him to 800 hours of community service, which he satisfied with volunteer work for the Hudson River Foundation. After his 800 hours were used up, the organization (now operating as the Hudson Riverkeepers) hired Kennedy as its “chief prosecuting attorney.”

In the years since his drug conviction, Kennedy has also gone to work for the Natural Resources Defense Council and assumed a professorship in the law school at Pace University. Kennedy also started Pace’s environmental law clinic specifically to sue governments and businesses on behalf of Riverkeeper.

Robert Kennedy approaches environmental law with a brash, take-no-prisoners approach that tends to alienate many who might otherwise be his allies. After working with him on a $10 million New York City watershed agreement, Putnam County (NY) legal counsel George Rodenhausen told reporters that “he separates himself from good science at times in order to aggressively pursue an issue and win.”

In July 2003, a major U.S. pork producer obtained an indictment against Kennedy for committing slander during an inflammatory rant against the company’s Polish subsidiary. The indictment charges that Kennedy spouted “untrue information” and “consciously manipulated the facts” with the intent to “discredit the company.”

Kennedy’s harshest public thrashing to date, however, came from one of his closest colleagues, Riverkeeper founder Robert Boyle. Along with seven other Riverkeeper board members, Boyle resigned in 2000 after Kennedy insisted upon hiring a convicted environmental felon as the group’s chief scientist. At the time, Boyle told the New York Post that Kennedy “is very reckless,” and added that “[h]e’s assumed an arrogance above his intellectual stature.”

Reflecting on the episode later, Boyle gave the New York Times an apt summary of Kennedy’s attitude regarding his environmental crusades: “I thought he was thinking of himself and not the cause of the river,” Boyle said. “It all became his own greater glory.”

So, why's this "EnvironMental Writer" for the San Fransideshow Commycle touting this Kennedy Commie coming to see his cousin Maria and her gullible Goobinator husband whose gullibility is spelled right out and exposed in the tailings of the truncated story??? Why, I ask ya?

The only reason I can see is to use the "Repub" Governator's celebrity connection to America's most leftist family to try to rhetorically tear away at Republican unity between Sacto and D.C. Meanwhile, the Dems are running radio ads screaming at Schwarzenegger to bring back the money that Dubya took away from CA as he "promised" to do!!!

Meanwhile, the envirowhacko Kennedy thinks that we should litigate and regulate CA back into fiscal health, through land-grabbing CONservancies??? We need a danged "sanity break" out here... not a day of RFK, Jr. pussey thinking speeches!!!

RFK Jr. can end his own hypocrisy by supporting the Cape Wind offshore wind farm near his family's summer mansion in Nantucket, instead of lecturing the rest of us on what WE should be doing. He can also get the Mass. Senators behind the project as well.

RFK Jr. has made his bones trashing the Indian Point plant in NY, which has been for decades a perfectly benign, zero-emissions producer of reliable, affordable baseload electricity. It is there, day after day, week after week, year after year, producing electricity for NYC and vicinity at low cost in all sorts of weather. But Kennedy hates it because it is a nuclear plant, and in his vacuous mind that is bad.

I'll never forget how Hannity reduced Kennedy to a spluttering, mumbling, babbling boob on H&C one night when he was ranting about how Americans use too much energy. Hannity asked him, but you came here tonight by yourself tonight in a chauffer-driven limousine, right? Kennedy said, well, yes, but that isn't the point... Then Hannity asked, and you came into town on a private jet, right? Kennedy said, yes, but that isn't the point... It was clear that he had no idea of what "the point" was.

Ahhhnold needs to dump this clown, Kennedy or not. Let Maria take care of his monumental, bruised ego.

Yeah... I read the story of how he drove that over to Applebees to get himself "pumped up" because all his efforts at reform are appearantly failing!

Is it true that as he entered the resturant that the other patrons began to chant... "WE'RE HERE TO PAWMP YEW OPP! WE'RE HERE TO PUMP YOU UP!!!" (so you won't be a flabby little gurley mon anymore)(Musta been Hans & Franz in that Applebees, Ha Ha Ha!!!)

And he's the nephew of Teddy, who is fighting tooth and nail to keep those pesky wind turbines from interfering with his view of the ocean.
