My mother, daughter, granddaughter and I are going out to the San Jacinto Monument and in the shadow of the monument is a restaurant that serves a drink called a "Yellow Rose" at least 3 of us are going to have one the 4th is to young. Without Emily Morgan (The Yellow Rose) we would probably not be celebrating this day! Yellow Rose

I just happen to drive by the monument exactly 1 year ago and got to witness a ceremony, complete with soldiers and firing cannon.

Today's weather may have hampered any event they had planned today? I'll have to watch the local news.
