President Bush will go down in history for his actions, his words will serve as proof.

I agree. He says what he means and he means what he says.

A personal favorite of mine is the speech before the Congress on 9/20/01:

"...Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists. From this day forward, any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime."

And this:

"...But this country will define our times, not be defined by them. As long as the United States of America is determined and strong, this will not be an age of terror; this will be an age of liberty, here and across the world."

And finally this:

"Great harm has been done to us. We have suffered great loss. And in our grief and anger we have found our mission and our moment. Freedom and fear are at war. The advance of human freedom -- the great achievement of our time, and the great hope of every time -- now depends on us. Our nation -- this generation -- will lift a dark threat of violence from our people and our future. We will rally the world to this cause by our efforts, by our courage. We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail."

God bless President Bush! : )

I've been sick since I came home.

Sorry to hear that. Get well soon.

"America will never seek a permission slip to defend the security of our people." President George Walker Bush

That quote will stay with me til' the end of my days. God Bless that man.

The only words Bill Clinton will be remembered for:

"You better get that dress dry cleaned, honey. And next time, go easy with the teeth."

"I did put those words in the post."

Sorry. Parts of my brain must be burning out

Some people are bored, but I'll tell the story again. I took a redeye flight to DC. I can never sleep on a plane. Everywhere else (including during a root canal) but never on a plane. I checked into the hotel and headed toward my congressman's office to get my ticket. Then it was off the the inauguration. Afterwards, I should have done something smart like go back to the room and get some sleep before the FReeper Ball. Instead I did something stupid. Fun, but stupid. I spent four hours getting face to face and arguing with the protestors in the street. I just couldn't help myself. How I was ever able to get through the radio broadcast from the Ball I don't know. By the time I got back to my room and got to sleep, I had been awake for 41 hours. It totally screwed my immune system. Never again.

If I'd make a guess where may be next, it's would be Iran. The Iranian pro-democracy movement has been simmered underneath the radar screen for sometime. The current events in the Middle East only emboldends Iranians to take matter in their own hands.

Great comments about some great statements.

For our President who was characterized as "dumb as a rock" - his democracy stuff does seem to be catching on.

One of my favorite lines was: "You're either with us or against us". Jesus said, "If you hate me, you love death".

Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.

How much irony is there that at one time a Dim could have said this. The party of what's in it for me.

"Let's hope the students are emboldened in Iran. They can make it happen."

What with all the Farsi satellite channels, I hope they've gotten the message that the president supports them.

He has made a number of great statements. The wonderful thing is that he is a man who actually means them. How refreshing.

I know how you feel, Doug. I once drove for 32 hours straight. Never again!

FOFLOL!

Actually, I vote for the immortal "You'd better put some ice on that" as the line Bill Clinton should be best remembered for.

And .. I was contemplating where we would be if Gore had been elected, and then Kerry.

I truly believe we would be in the same condition as Israel - facing daily terror attacks.

We are not just fortunate .. we are truly BLESSED BY GOD to have such a true leader as George W. Bush.

Had Gore been elected, Kerry would not have run and challenged him in 2004. It would have been Kerry vs. Hillary in 2008 or both of them vs. Lieberman.

Russia worries me. They need to back off relative to Iran and not get in our way.
